The next day…
Finally… a little progress on the “get Fang out from under the sofa” project…
Before 2020, I lived a very different life, a single life that required a significant amount of business travel. Then pandemic. By the time I got my landlord to agree to let me have a pet, all the shelters were empty and I ended up with a tiny, toothless feral cat I named Fang. Our journey was complicated, two feral creatures figuring out how to live with each other and I captured it with this blog. Sadly, he passed in September of that year and in my grief, I impulsively adopted a puppy. Taking care of him was the baby step that led to raising a puppy which was the baby step to making the move to the Hudson Valley which led to me choosing ceramics as my next chapter. So naming the studio after Feral Fang seemed fitting. Below is the journey that started it all.
Finally… a little progress on the “get Fang out from under the sofa” project…
Fang’s still under the sofa… It’s come down to the Hansel and Gretel solution… please please please follow the breadcrumbs home, you little lunatic… π€πΌπ€πΌπ€πΌ
I now have a cat under my sofa… sigh.The next problem to solve… π€¦π»ββοΈ
I got the medicine on him! Finally!! This morning, in pure desperation, I puree’d a can of tuna with a stick blender et voila! Kitty crack. The doors of Thunderdome have been flung openβ¦
Socialization training starts today… This is dinner and a movie for the foreseeable future… At least I get better pics of him – a plus for me but he doesn’t seem terribly amused by the situation… Somewhere in the next three days, I’ve got to get the lice meds onto the back of his neck… absolutely zero clue how I’m…
Fang is becoming my yoga buddy… meaning I do yoga, he stares at me judgmentally… π€£π€£π€£
We’re making progress each day… today he’s sitting on top of his box…. He’s starting to talk also… little yowls. He’s probably asking me where his teeth are and WTF is he doing living in Thunderdome…
New angles… For both of us. He’s out of the box and eating with me working at the table…I’m sleeping on the sofa hoping he’ll get used to me faster…
First tentative foray and peek around… then straight back into the box… π€£π€£π€£ #slowlybutsurely
Is it rude to eat ribs and crunchy vegetables in front of a toothless cat?
